November in the Antarctic Peninsula marks the start of seabird courting season while chinstrap and Adélie penguins begin nesting and breeding along the South Shetland Islands. Here, Weddell seals also form large colonies. January to February brings more activity among leopard seals and penguin chicks as they hatch and learn to swim. In March, listen for the mating song of leopard seals as they begin courting. This trip is hosted by Beth.
