Some people wonder … “just what IS a travel advisor and what do you do?” The answer is … quite a bit.

Though I specialize in customized travel itineraries and immersive experiences for the curious traveler, I do so much more. I will write another time about the customized process but today, I wanted to write about a few things that maybe you did not know about. Here are some services I offer that may be of interest to you.

Hotels Stays

Whether it is a weekend away, a longer trip, or a staycation, I can book hotels for you all over the world. I am a preferred partner with most of the major hotels in the world which means you get all sorts of extras. Many of the hotels I work with offer things like free daily breakfast. If you have traveled much, you know the value of that amenity! Often times, you can also get free upgrades, early check-in and late checkout, free wifi, and credits to be used at the hotel restaurant, bar or spa. Most importantly, when I book for you, the hotel will treat you as the VIP that you are!

I also regularly visit hotels everywhere I travel. I have relationships with their management and experience the hotels myself. What does that mean for you? They are vetted by me AND I know the ones that will best suit you. From elegant to cultural to the really, really cool.

Villa and Home Rentals

I work with some exceptional villa and home rental companies around the world. If you are craving a beautiful location but also want your family or friend group to have privacy and creature comforts, a villa or home rental may be just the ticket.

Unlike VRBO and AirBnB, these villa rentals companies often go to and inspect every home in their inventory, have staff in many locations to assist you, can set up excursions, stock the fridge, provide private chefs for a celebratory dinner, and all sorts of other things. You will never be a reservation number to them but rather a treasured guest.

And, did I mention that the homes and locations are stunning?

Whether you are advanced or a beginner, I have you covered. From lift tickets to accommodations, I can help. And if you don’t want to lug all the equipment with you, I can also set up a complete package with equipment waiting for you. And once again, all over the world.

I help you navigate all the different stateroom levels and excursions and dining options and bar packages. All of the details that start to make the process feel like you need a vacation from the vacation!

Staying with friends in Santa Fe? Already booked your own AirBnB in San Francisco? But you still want to do something really fun in your destination? I can help you with that. I love, love, love the experiences that make you remember your trip far into the future.

Adventure seeker? I can book a paragliding experience off the Marin Headlands. Art lover? How about some time ALONE in the Louvre? Historian - want to sit in Churchill’s chair in the War Rooms in London? Making these experiences happen is what makes my heart sing.

I spend time with all of my clients to understand what would make them say “WOW". I love to help them tell the stories of their trip. I really listen and then love to match what I hear to the experiences that can never, ever be found by Mister Google. That is my jam! While I can’t help you with miles programs or economy air, I can help you (and hopefully save you $) with business and first class air travel, domestic or international. And sometimes even premium economy. Again, I have great partners for most of the airlines worldwide.

And, when you do purchase through me, I am there when the inevitable happens. Miss your connection? Call me and then go have a bite and a drink at the airport lounge. I fix the problem while everyone else stands on line at the airline customer service desk. 24/7.

Small Group Travel

And, finally, small group travel. Whether it is a friend group or a multi-gen dream trip, I love small group travel and know the in’s and out’s. From accommodating all ages to accommodating all interests, I have your back. It is not easy to pull something together that offers fun for everyone. And often, it is hard to get all the friends and family to ever agree on anything.

That is where I step in. I will never solve all the personality stuff but I will put together a fabulous trip with enough options to make everyone (well, maybe not the curmudgeon uncle or curmudgeon whoever) happy and stress free. With accommodations to suit the travel style and experiences to remember why you all wanted to travel together.

I know that so many of you work with me on the African safari or the dream trip to France or the curated foodie trip to Charleston. I just wanted you to know that the same level of personalized service I provide for those trips, I can do for so much more. And I absolutely promise - I will always treat your time and memories as if they were my own. Expedia and all the other online booking tools can never, ever make that promise.
